Jack Tuckner

Jack Tuckner is a leading Women’s Rights in the Workplace attorney and also actively advocates for equality outside the workplace.

Jack Tuckner completed his undergraduate degree at Hunter College of the City University of New York (CUNY) in 1984. Three years later, he earned his Juris Doctor from CUNY Law School at Queens College. He decided while still working towards his law degree to pursue a career dedicated to law in the service of human needs, which is his alma mater’s motto.

Following graduation, Jack Tuckner became a public defender in the Bronx. In this role, he represented clients in various stages of the defense process and led many cases to successful verdict.  He co-founded his own firm, Jack Bryant Tuckner and Associates, in 1992.  This firm concentrated in women’s rights in the workplace law.  In 2001, he co-founded his current practice, Tuckner, Sipser, Weinstock & Sipser, LLP, the only litigation boutique in the country that concentrates in prosecuting women’s workplace rights cases in state and federal court.

Through his practice, Jack Tuckner provides insightful and compassionate counsel on women’s workplace rights and equality issues.  As part of his efforts to prevent workplace marginalization or bias based on gender or sexual orientation, he also engages in activism across the media spectrum.  Jack Tuckner serves as a valuable advocate and commentator, adding clarity in the interpretation of civil rights protections for women, as well as awareness for women’s discrimination issues.  On the national level, he has appeared in media outlets such as the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Today Show, NBC’s Nightly New, ABC’s Good Morning America, CNN, The Joy Behar Show, National Public Radio, and Fox News.  He also contributes locally by appearing on New York television and radio stations and in person at many civic and grassroots seminars and meetings.  As a guest speaker, Jack Tuckner has presented on “Gender Pay Disparity” for the American Association of University Women, and he has also spoken at a number of public and private forums on “Domestic Violence and Working Women.”
